TS4 Download: Auto NPCs (Barista, Stall Vendor and Bartender)

Updated for Seasons!


It frustrates me that some objects in TS4 only auto-call NPCs on certain lots. I was so disappointed that City Living food stands would stand empty on park lots. 😦

Previously I was able to create mods to make it free to hire vendors, and bartenders and baristas. However, I still wished that the NPCs would auto-attend the lot because it breaks the immersion to have to keep calling them in manually. After MUCH playing around with the files, and many failed attempts, I was finally able to call some NPCs in to certain lots.


For the vendors, you can place multiple stalls on one lot but only one vendor will be auto hired. They seem to choose which stall to open at random. If you delete a stall, they will go and open another. The vendors will auto tend any type of stall though: food; tea; swag; produce.

The baristas and vendors are called to the lot in overlapping shifts, so you should see a new NPC arriving to replace the one that is leaving. The barista/vendor/bartender will be called even if you do not have a bar, barista bar or stall on the lot.


The Files:

I’ve included all the files in one folder but you must only install ONE of each lot type. So you must only have one ‘Park’ venue for example. Therefore, you need to choose whether a barista or a vendor suits each individual lot type better.

You could have:

* A food vendor at the park.
* A cafe in the library.
* A gift stall at the museum.

If you want to automatically call a vendor you also need the vendor BASE file. This is because the baristas were already set up to work ON lots, but the vendors did not have a corresponding file. I created my own tuning for this.

To summarise:

* You must install the ‘Cinderellimod_TS4_AutoNPC_BASE_Vendor’ package if you want market stall vendors for your lots.
* You must only install ONE package for each venue type. So you can’t have two packages with the word ‘gym’ or ‘park’ in the title.
Select one of each venue type. So you cannot have…


…because they both have ‘VENUE_Gym’ in the title. For each lot type you much choose which type of employee you want the most and only install that package file.

* You can also use this alongside my hire NPC’s for free mods (links above). So if you did want multiple employees on one lot, both a vendor and a bartender on a park for example, you could install the ‘Cinderellimod_TS4_AutoNPC_VENUE_Park_Vendor’ package to auto-call the vendor and then hire the bartender for free manually as and when you need them.

I hope that isn’t too confusing! I tried to explain it as clearly as possible. XD Obviously Get Together is required for the barista, and City Living is required for the vendors. I made the mod with both packs installed.

      • why cant download this mod,is it gone or? i like this mod and it say its updated for seasons but cant download i have files from before seasons when you drop first time and i think its working but confusing me becouse it say ts updated for seasons .so do i need that update or not and why i cant download..tn


  1. Thank you so much for making this mod. I tried something similar myself a while ago but it never worked … because it never occured to me to look into the zoneDirector. Now I feel equally stupid and educated – and glad I can have those little vendor stalls in my park and a barista at the museum. :3


    • If you wanted to look into it more yourself, you can add all sorts of Sim behaviours to different zones. So if you wanted the bear to show up at the gym (why wouldn’t you? Lol!) you could open the zoning for a lot that the bear appears on and copy-paste the code into another zoning file. Just look at how they set the lines out and mimic it. 🙂


  2. Hello ! Thanks a lot for this mod I hoped for something like that for so long !
    Something happened in my game though, that I thought would be linked to this mod: when my sims get invited to spontaneous parties in Windenburg, the bartender comes but there is no bar installed. (DJ still works as intended)
    I’m gonna try to test it further without the mod installed, but seeing sims need to get invited first, it might take a while. If it’s not linked to this mod I apologize !

Hi I downloaded the file, however I tried to click on one to download, and my computer says “There is no application set to open the document “Cinderellimod_TS4_AutoNPC_VENUE_Gym_Bartender.package” I have a Mac, not sure if that makes a difference, or if I’m missing a program that will execute the download. Please help!


      • do you need to keep it in the zip folder? I put it in unzipped and it doesn’t work for me, they’re still asking for me to pay to open the veldor.


      • Had to hit reply here cause it wouldn’t let me down below. I tried that and it changed nothing, it still showed up that I had to pay. I also tried to have a zipped and unzipped file like they showed for script mods and that also had no effect. I’m not sure what extra thing I failed to do or maybe my computer just doesn’t wanna let me use mods?


      • Never mind, your explanation in the file was really confusing. I asked a friend to try the mod and it took him a few trys to figure it out. It would have been clearer to mention that you cannot have Park_Barista and Park_vendor in your mods file at the same time; that you can only have one of these mod files in the folder at a time. The instructions were difficult to understand and could be really confusing for people Especially if they can be hyper literal like I can. I’m not always the brightest bean.

  4. This mod is very very really good for me, I’ve been using it and it work beautifully.
    My librally look soooooo lifeful now, and I really happy with it><!
    [ for exactly I always have question why develop team make us hire employees for foodstans or bars or coffee bars in comunity venues, visiters must always hire employees before they could have food or drink…. it's very weird! ]
    Now after using your mod I can say, I couldn't live anymore if I don't have it
    I have alittle hope in the future a mod would also cover Retail venues, just think if customers can have some coffee during shopping it would l bring vatiety in game 😀

    • Yay! I’m so pleased that you are enjoying it so much! I did actually try to enable them for retail venues but it didn’t seem to work, I think the coding is set up in a different way. It’s something I’ll probably keep tinkering with until I figure it out. For now I’ve been using the ‘free barista’ mod which means you can hire one on any lot without being charged by clicking on the object itself. ^___^


      • Oh!, why I can’t not think about it! While I open a store I used to hire batista and I’ve never do it again because I don’t want to lose my money, but as long as I don’t have to pay for hire, It would be fine XD I’m gonna get the mod and go to my store. THANK AGAIN FOR ADVISING!><



    I just spent days building an awesome mall (even waited to get city living to build it since I wanted to make a food court with the food booths plus an indoor basketball court) then when I finally finished, went into live mode and took my sims there all excited to play. For a second I saw it closed and thought maybe the vendors hadn’t yet arrived … But then I clicked it and to my dismay saw the option “hire vendor” for a hundred damn simoleans. Actually made me just want to stop playing for a while I was so disappointed.

  7. Is there a chance you could update this to include food stalls at nightclubs? I created an outdoor music festival and the food stalls are pretty important to it, didn’t realize how difficult it would be to have it run the way I needed
    Would be eternally grateful

    You inspired me to try to enable massage and acupressure therapists on restaurant lots. So far, lots of messing around but no results. Is it just a copy and paste of the Zone Director Tuning xml files? Or does it require more?

  10. I love this mod a lot! It does make all the community lots more real and fun! I had a custom made hospital with canteen area. Would you consider adding your mod to work on hospital lot? I don’t know how to do mods, but would be nice to see auto NPC working in the canteen at the hospital! Right now I have to hire one every time I go to work and she is not really staying where she is supposed to be…

  13. Hi, I have your mod installed (which is awesome, btw) and it works well on my gym and park lots except for my library lot. When I have the Cinderellimod_TS4_AutoNPC_VENUE_Library_Barista.package in my mods folder, the following error pops:

    The game failed to load. Error Code:
    123:9d5d0e8f:ac836316. It is recommended that you
    relaunch the game.

    It’s the only “library” package I have in the folder as per your instructions. I downloaded the version dated November 12, 2017.
